This is an in-office position in Glenview, IL. The Controller for Intrinsic Landscaping is an integral part of our overall operations. We are looking for a motivated, self-disciplined, and organized individual who can step-in as our financial controller. Compensation

• Salary Range: $82,000 - $102,000/year
• Health insurance with company contribution of 50% of employee’s monthly premium

Job Responsibilities

• Accounts payable activities including vendor bill processing, posting, tracking, and payments
• Accounts receivable activities including invoicing, payment receipts, deposits, and follow-ups
• Project administration including job setups, meeting coordination, and certificates of insurance
• Reporting including job costing, commissions, job hours, and overall financial health
• Account reconciliations including bank accounts, credit cards, and loans 
• General ledger accounting including journal entries, ledger review, and maintaining chart of accounts
• Coordinating month-end and year-end closings
• Budgeting, forecasting, and pricing
• Assist with payroll activities and reconciliations
• Assist in obtaining/renewing business licenses and permits
• Assist with company asset purchasing, tracking, and monitoring
• Assist with office admin items such as reception, phone systems, supply orders, mail
• Assist with internal procedures and systems development

Education & Experience

• 3 years of experience in Accounting (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field (required)

Skills & Qualifications

• Accounting proficiency in all areas (including general ledgers, payrolls, accruals, taxes, etc.)
• Familiarity with construction and/or project accounting and work-flow (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
• Previous experience with QuickBooks (preferred)
• High attention to detail with an eye for quality control
• Articulate communicator on phone and email
